James Ford Rhodes High School Reviews

My daughter when to Rhodes and now she is suffering for the bad education she got at Rhodes. She is in the University and feels lost. Cleveland Public Schools needs to eliminate the bad teachers.

This school is horrible , they care more about what a child wears then they grade , the new principal doesn't care about any of the students , she made that pretty clear , the school rather spend their money on nothing than buy us books , the teachers honestly don't teach , it's a horrible school .

I'ma student at rhodes and it's actually good. The only prOblem with it is that they have to use harper, which doesnt have lockers. the teachers are good, and the students are nice. yes every class will have a clown but over all its good schoool!

i go to rhodes and i love it

I just graduated from JFR in 2006. I have no complaints about the school. The teachers and the principals will be good to you if you are good to them. i think the with all the remodeling that they are now doing and all of the changes, it will help the other students coming in a lot. I was there for all 4 years of high school and i have nothing bad to say about it.

I would like to take a moment and say Thank You to each Teacher. I graduated from Rhodes in the 80's and my son is a Senior in the Honor's program. I am very proud of him and the great and wonderful Teachers who've helped along with myself in teaching a wonderful and respectful young man. My hats off to the Staff at James Ford Rhodes.

I think Rhodes is a ok school. The kids do act up but the teachers aren't as bad as everyone is saying. As for the principals at Rhodes they are nice if you disrespect them there not suppose to respected you. They treat you how you treat them. The school is to small and the class does have to many kids in them. Rhodes is a good school. its dirty because the students make t that way. all the parents who say its nasty must have nasty houses because I am sure their kids are helping it get that way. Rhodes is a good school. I wouldnt want to send my kid anywhere else.

I was impressed with the students at Rhodes. Although there are those few who can make the classroom a bit difficult, the good outweigh the bad. The majority of the students are curteous and make some sort of attempt at each assignment. I was pleased with my experience at Rhodes.

the extracurricular activitives are pretty good but the teachers are not so good. these kids need individual attention and you can't get that with Cleveland Public schools let alone Rhodes. The kids are way out of line skipping classes and misbhaving in class. it's getting way out of hand

im am a parent but Ithink rhodes is a relly bad school. because they think by just remodleing the school that they can fit everyone in this school building. the bathrooms are very dirty and there special ed dept. my son goes there and they have him in this crosscat. and they mix behavior students with learning dis. and the kid with bad behavior the brush them off . they suspend them they dont teach them how to have good behavior and to move on in life with there anger nothing. im advoising those who have children with special ed needs dont send there child to james ford rhodes and also they dont have any classes for some of the student there crampt up in the libary and hall ways and also the whole building is dirty.

jfr is one of wortest school cause of there hydyene and also the way they treat there students and take care of the students needs that grab and go they give you jail food our bathrooms are nasty and also the principals willams and strinka are mean to all of us in the building these four small schools are suppes to make it better it isnt we have 35-40 kids in all of classes it get real fustrating and also i shocked that rhodes does not have sbh classes.

Im not a parent I am a student JFR was a good school but now it isn't this whole small schools thing is so stupid because the classes are supposed to be smaller but they arn't, we also have no books. Now durring this school year we have what is called a grab and go lunch. I dont think thats right were not animals or in prison. Also the restrooms on the first floor there is never any toilet paper and only 4 of the toilets are good to use. We now have cameras how is it we can have cameras but no books. This isn't right.

I am considering Rhodes as my high school choice along with Jane Addams. The teachers are excellent, and the students are overly friendly. Rhodes is taking the 'small school' transition. There will be four smaller sized high schools inside of Rhodes thanks to Bill and Melinda Gates. I am really looking forward to graduating from Rhodes!

I am a graduate of Rhodes and so was my brother. We never had any problems with the teachers or other students. We went to school to learn and graduate and moved on to college. We were not overly concerned with what designer clothes other students were wearing. Some of the teachers really cared about their jobs and students. James Ford Rhodes has good attendance and graduation rates. Keep up the great work all of the studens at Rhodes!

I'm not a parent,I attend the school.I think it is one of the best schools in Cleveland. And the R.O.T.C program is excellent. It can really shape a student to be the best they can be.I love it!!

I have three children at this school. The teahers are great! They can and will help your child with anything.
