Beachwood Middle School Reviews

I love it because they have laptops but i consider for the students to use ipods for class lessons.

BS has great potential the new principle is great and really trying. The laptops given to the kids are good for the future but they should get them thru BHS if they were monitered better, considering they have ascess to way to much on them and this is dangerous to themselves and others. There is way way to much emphasis on state acheivement tests and not enough on learning Aleks math do it and learn next year cause its on the acheivement test.

Beachwood Schools offer one of the finest programs for individualized student performance in the elementary years. It is as excellent as you can receive in a public school setting. The new Middle School is proving to be the same. The new staff work hard at involving all students and parents. Beachwood has prided itself on its foreign language, music, arts, sports, etc. programs. And once again I give them an 'A'. I feel the new principal will continue to make all needed changes within the school.

Yes, Beachwood Middle School is an attractive building and there are laptops for each student but it would be great if the students could learn to be great writers, thinkers and then go on to Ivy League college. Let's hope the new principal for 06-07 will be the start of a great thing. Anything would be an improvement.

Beachwood middle school is a beautiful school with everything available to a prospective student. But unfortunately, our family does not feel the love. They love the students that are doing well but if you are not adding to their accolades, then move on. They just don't care.

My favorite academic program is giving each 7th and 8th grade student a wireless MAC laptop to use at home and school 24 hrs a day for the academic year. A $100 insurance fee is the only cost for the student. Most classes use the computer in class and there is access to all teachers, assignments, grades, notes as well. This is a relatively small school and the sports available are basic but most have a no cut policy. The industrial arts program is very impressive; the computer technology is involved. Art portfolios are kept online. Parents are easily involved with school work and access to teachers on the computer.

The school is highly bureacratized and focused almost exclusively on policy and process with little or no regard to results. Most parents substitute money for involvement, so the level actual achievement is limited. Computers have been supplied to the kids. However, research conducted in association with the school shows that the computers have failed to improve grades but have increased the ability of the children to use computers, especially email and instant messaging.

Excellent school, 'AA' education, extracurricular activities excellent, except the girls softball team does not get the same treatment as the boys baseball (such as transportation).

Beachwood Middle Schoolis the only school on the state to ever have won two 'Blue Ribbons'. We are proud to be parents of a middle school graduate and current middle schooler. Beachwood City Schools are by far the best public school education in the state.

Beachwood Middle school was just rebuilt. It is now a state of the art school. Beachwood city schools are the best public schools in the state. This year at the middle school every student get a laptop to take home and use at school. Children get top of the line education, and I'm proud that my daughter goes to Beachwood schools!
